This piece up above is related to real life because the light and the friendly feeling of the river/lake/ocean shines through all the dark things that happen in this type of environment such as plastic killing our fish. The water with the life in it is so beautiful that it shines through all of the cruel things that are involved and we are now trying to save it as a whole letting the beauty of the water really shine through. Tempera Batik in general is related to life by showing that as much light that you put in your life with either shine through the tough patches in your life or be completely covered by the lack of light in your life.
Growing Heart: is a tempera batik work of art that highlights the pureness of the heart and the flowers despite the darkness that is present. The dark blue in the background is barley able to shine through the darkness that the black ink presents while the flower and the heart shine bright through the dark ink to illustrate how the positive things in life are a lot of the time able to shine through the dark rough patches in life.
